Meetups & Events
Connecting with other students is such an important part of university enjoyment and success, so we’re here to help it happen.
Our meetup and events programme is driven for – and by – care experienced and estranged students.
Want to run your own thing? We can support you to do that. Treat it a bit like a student union society event, only you get the funding (if needed) and support from us – rather than your SU. If you have an event that you already have pulled together, but that you would like us to advertise on our All of Us Instagram and in our monthly newsletter, just drop us an email with your poster/information at allofuscommunitycatalysts@gmail.com
All of Us Meetups
Whether its visiting an exhibition, painting pottery, playing bingo or having a game of five-aside, All of Us Meetups exist to socialise and meet fellow students. Everyone is from a care experienced and estranged background and importantly activities are entirely free or very very very cheap. Take a look and follow our Eventbrite to find out what’s on.
We’ve got guidance to cover everything you need to sort out a social meetup of your choosing for students in your neck of the woods. All of Us is supported by the charity Unite Foundation, which provides funding as well as practical support from Ira, the All of Us Programme Manager. Naturally there are some step by step guidelines to follow so your meetup is thoroughly planned, safe, and well attended. Meetups are always free to attend. Check out the guide here.
We have small grants to help you run your meetup and make sure that it’s free for your attendees to come along – every little helps on a student budget! There are some basic rules about accessibility, marketing, costs per head and safety (like no alcohol-based activities) but it’s simple and hundreds of students have already enjoyed from free socials through these grants. Make sure you’ve read the guidance properly and then apply here for a grant. If you have any questions at all just contact – Ira.Hakim@UniteFoundation.org.uk
